My journey to Chile took me from Santiago to the Glaciar San Francisco in the Valley of Maipo, to the Black Dunes of Putu and the Valley of Condors close to Argentina. The most southern part I came to see was Coyhaique and the Lago General Carrera in Northern Patagonia. My last days in Chile I spent in Pucon. I was happy to survive a rafting tour. Unfortuntately, I was not able to overcome my feelings of acrophobia when abseiling from twenty meters at a Canyoning tour. The very last day I could counterbalance that fail with the summit tour to the top of one of most beautiful volcanos in Chile, Villarrica.
